We’re headed to Florida’s Atlantic coast for A Quick Beer on the quaint and historic Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach!

Tucked into the northeastern tip of the state, Amelia Island is a scenic, welcoming place with a small but robust beer scene. In this episode, we explore all three of the island’s breweries, Amelia Island Brewing Co. (AIBC), First Love Brewing and the design-forward Mocama Beer Co., where we share a quick beer with Ernest Gonzales in one of the most beautiful taprooms we’ve visited yet. We also check out a few of the island’s bars, including the legendary Palace Saloon (reputed to be Florida’s oldest bar), the eclectic local fave PJ Dave’s, and the fun beer-and-mini-golf combo Gregor MacGregor’s.

Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach might not be the first places that come to mind for craft beer, but with a delicious local scene, a welcoming community and fun coastal vibes, this little island makes a big impression.

Special thanks to the team at Amelia Island tourism for helping us plan parts of our visit.

Here’s a handy map of the beer spots we visited on Amelia Island & Fernandina Beach. We’ll update the map as new episodes debut.
